49ers Charged with Murder, Packers look to Resurrect against Giants

So pretty much everything I highlighted in my last blog came to fruition. The 49ers roster is currently on a boat to Alcatraz after murdering the Packers on National TV in the 49ers 38-7 victory. Maybe if the Packers would have suscribed to Stitty Wap Sports they would have known the key to victory because they did the exact opposite (or at very least that George Kittle is pretty good and they maybe should have covered him). Matt LaFleur got baby'd by Shanahan, got away from the run game, and had an absolute terrible 4th down play early on. Also, how ridiculous is that Special Teams stat?! -11. NEGATIVE ELEVEN yards on the season and on-pace for the worst Special Teams ever.

Really the only positive was that no one outside of glass bones Bryan Bulaga got injured. This is a killer considering the playoff implications, the Packers drop to the 3 seed and tie for the NFC North lead at 8-3.

But on to the next.

And by next I mean the 2-9 Giants with a Rookie QB, the 24th ranked Offense, and the 29th ranked Defense.

Key Injuries:

Packers:

Once again, shockingly healthy. The only really highlight here is Jimmy Graham but he has been on the list almost all year and hasn't missed a game yet. Health shouldn't be a factor.

Giants:

Not too many injuries to report but definitely a few key players. One is Jabrill Peppers, a key piece of the OBJ trade with the Browns. He is a very versatile DB/LB that has made some big plays for the defense that would be a huge break for the Pack. Speaking of breaks, Golden Tate is also in the concussion protocol and I'd imagine him having to miss this one. The guy absolutely torches us so I wouldn't be upset if he missed this one.

KEY Match-ups:

Packers Don't Suck

Honestly that's pretty much what it comes down to. This team is a steaming hot pile of garbage. If the Packers are a real team they need to impose their will on one of the worst teams in the league. This team is bottom 3rd on both sides of the ball. The Packers have yet to really dominate a game and put it all together. A false step here could not only screw up the chance at a 1st round Bye but also the division with Minnesota lurking at 8-3.

Shutting Down Barkley

Although Saquon has been in a Sophomore Slump (3.2 yards/carry), he is still one of the most talented RB's in the game. If the Packers allow him to carry the team the safer the Giants can play it with Daniel Jones. Which brings me to my last point....

Make Daniel Jones Beat You

The formula for the defense's success is pretty simple. Get to the QB and put him in the dirt or turn it over. The D-Line was actually pretty good against the 49ers. Unfortunately when the offense is doing nothing you're eventually going to wear down. Green Bay needs to force these QB's to throw the ball into tight windows and force mistakes. This is a get-right game and the secondary needs to get right if they have any chance at this division title.
