GM Stitty Wap: Two Bold Trades for the Packers in 2020

Well it's that time of the year again. The trecherous time of the year where we must endure no football for the next couple of months until the NFL Draft. So in the meantime I have appointed myself GM of the Packers and decided to highlight a couple of insane trades that I would pull off as a Wheelin' and Dealin' GM in Madden.
Josh Rosen

Alright I know this one sounds bat shit crazy but here my out. You don't win 5 Super Bowls in Madden without making the deals everyone else is scared to. So let's dive into this one a bit. Now there is no secret the Dolphins are likely to go with Tua in the draft, almost every mock draft has that as the projected pick. Barring the Chargers jumping to #3 (Lions) to take him, Miami is the perfect fit. Sign a guy like Rivers to show him the ropes and hope he lives up to the hype. Ok great. So where does Rosen fit into all of this? Answer: He doesn't, hell he only played 5 games before he was benched for journeyman QB Ryan "Fitzmagic" last year. Common sense dictates they will try to recoup something, anything really for the 2nd year QB.
Bring on the Packers and GM Stitty Wap. A major area of need for the last 4-5 years, the back-up QB/Rodgers successor. Currently, that spot is occupied by undrafted Tim Boyle, who has looked impressive in the pre-season, but c'mon it's Tim Boyle. There seems to be a connection between Rodgers and Rosen. And anyone who knows 12 knows that is a very rare occurrence. The trade you ask?...
Josh Jackson for Josh Rosen. Hear me out, the trade works out for both teams. Both guys are prime change-of-scenery candidates given how their first two season went and both would fill major needs, as was pointed out by Xavien Howard when the Dolphins had a yard sale for seemingly their entire roster:
The Dolphins traded away their stud Safety, Minkah Fitzpatrick, early last season for a 1st rounder from the Steelers. I have long said Josh Jackson's natural ball-hawking skills and lower end speed project him as more of a Safety (which I wish the Packers would have given him a chance to play). With a pretty young and depleted group, Jackson could, at the very least, have an opportunity to play.
For the Packers, Rosen would not only provide a young back-up with potential, but it gives them options. If Rosen is able to improve himself under the guidance of Rodgers, he could be a great trade piece for the Packers in the next couple of years (Jimmy G to San Fran). This also gives the Packers an option if Aaron decides to hang 'em up at the end of his contract in 2023. While that might be a bit of a stretch, this is very similar to the Packers/Browns trade in 2018 which the Packers sent Damarious Randall to the Browns for DeShone Kizer. If this trade goes through, please credit me here first.
David Njoku

This trade seems pretty unlikely as well but as the new GM of the Packers, I will get it done. How do we get this done you ask? It appears the Browns are ready to "move on" from Njoku. The same can be said with Jimmy Graham, the Packers would save $8 million by releasing the TE. Njoku would be a young, talented low-risk TE talent that would give GB more flexibility in Free Agency. Another key is the Packers would not have to give up a ton for Njoku as he is already entering his 4th season in the NFL.
The Packers do already have a young TE in Jace Sternberger, a high draft pick in 2019. But as we say in the gambling world, scared money don't make money. The Packers need to get creative and stop relying on their players to hopefully develop. If Sternberger is as good as hoped for then this could be an awesome complementary piece for the offense. Also, Sternberger missed most of last year with an ankle injury. This would provide some insurance as Robert Tonyan is the only other TE on the roster (yuck).
I think a late round pick/change of scenery guy will get this deal done. That being said, there are sure to be quite a few teams out there interested and Njoku might get price out of what Green Bay will be willing to part ways with. If the Packers have to include a fringe roster guy such as WR St. Brown or CB Josh Jackson, it might be worth the gamble.
