This is the game we all live and die for. For all the bragging rights. The oldest rivalry in football. We talking Bears/Packers in Lambeau with playoff implications. It doesn't get better than this. All the shit talk, scoreboard watching, and countless Sunday beers comes down to this. This is a massive game for both squads at this point in the season.
The Bears (7-6) need this game to stay alive in the NFC playoff picture and would give them a chance to control their own destiny. Three weeks ago they looked dead in the water but a weak schedule and improved play all around has them rolling into Lambeau with some confidence and looking to play spoiler.
For the Packers (10-3) this game is massive in terms of the pursuit of the NFC North title and first round bye, which given how they have looked on the road is paramount if they have any Super Bowl prayers. Given how they played the Redskins this past Sunday the last 3 games are not lay-ups in the slightest. This is a massive confidence game and one Green Bay cannot afford to lose with only a game lead on the Vikings.
Key Injuries:

Packers:
Not sure if it is a gift that the Packers are so healthy or a curse. They seemed to be better when they have to play with some guy that they just signed from Last Chance U but hey we'll need all hands on deck this week. Kevin King is the only notable Packer that missed last week's game with a shoulder so hopefully we can have him in uniform on Sunday. The boys are ready for war.
Bears:
Not too many injuries for the enemy this week. They will be thin again at TE with Braunecker as DNP and with concussions usually means they will miss the game. Taylor Gabriel also a concussion DNP and of course no Danny Trevathan which has been a big hit for the Defense. But huge news for the Bears, Prince Amukamara is back after missing last week's game with a hammy, it'll be interesting to see how that holds up especially for a DB but he was a full go so it doesn't seem to be a concern. And unfortunately for the Pack, that big mongoloid Akeem Hicks returns off IR just in time for this game (yay! of course he does because why wouldn't he?). The Bears Defense has severely missed mostly in the Run D and will sure be a huge boost Sunday.
KEY Match-ups:
Packers Week 1 Defense
The way the defense played week 1 sprung the famous "we have a defense" from Aaron Rodgers. That is what it will take for the Packers to win this game. The Bears have been very bad running the ball this year but have definitely improved over the last couple of weeks. If the Packers are able to take away the run game (Montgomery, Cohen is a afterthought at this point) the RPO/Read Option for the Bears will have a tough time getting going. This also includes keeping Trubisky in the pocket and making him outgun Aaron Rodgers. And for their part, the Smith's and that D-Line have done their part over the last few games, the DB's need to step up like they did last week against the Redskins. Stop the passes over the middle and underneath which means the Packers will have to play a lot more man on the edges and need our corners (who have been pretty suspect) to win those battles on early downs.
Balance Balance Balance
One thing the Bears did very well was shut down Aaron Jones and force the Packers WR's to beat them. Which they didn't.

The Bears harassed Rodgers all night and he didn't have time to wipe his ass let alone go through progressions. The Packers have seen a lot of success in the underneath game with Aaron Jones and has led to the play action game being pretty effective which has led to the running game taking off. If the Packers can get the short passing game going early it will force the Bears to play more stacked and give Adams and Lazard chances to find space. The Packers can't let Floyd and Mack ruin this game like they have the last couple of meetings.
Win the Turnover Battle
This is huge. The biggest difference in week 1 was not only the Packers Defense playing well beyond expectation but them forcing Trubisky into bad throws. The Amos interception in the 4th all but sealed the win for Green Bay. And while the Bears don't have an explosive offense it is important we give Aaron Rodgers as many bullets as possible. The Packers offense hums when they get in a rhythm and looks like a bottom 5 unit when they don't. The more they can be on the field wearing on the defense, the more they will be able to oppose their game plan and pace. I
Prediction/Expert Anlysis:
Packers: 20
Bears: 13
Packers -4. HAHAHAHA you think I'd pick against Green Bay? They could have the JV roster from my High School and I'm still taking them against the shit Bears. But in all reality they don't have a JV roster. In fact, they have a pretty damn talented roster. The offense looked awful last week, but who cares? That was the hapless Redskins and Rodgers played probably the worst game of the season. But I really like the turnover factor in this game. I don't think either team will look good in this type of game but that favors Packers winning the possession battle. Hammer the Packers here.
