Pack Win a Thriller in Green Bay, 8-2 into the Bye

I mean what else can you say? A 24-16 W for the Green & Gold that came down to a last-second stop. They call football a game of inches and that could not be understated in today's game. Are you kidding me with that? 2 stops at the Goal-line as time expires in the 1st and 2nd half, unbelievable. And talk about responding to adversity, to get absolutely embarrassed last week in LA then take out a very tough team in Carolina has me ready to run up 41 butt naked in my Brett Favre jersey.

But in all honesty what an effort they put on today. Did McCaffrey go for 100+? Yes. Was there too many open WR's over the middle? Yes. Did LaFleur have some questionable decisions again? Yes. But guess what? It doesn't matter because for the first time all year we played a pretty complete game. We made stops when we had to, we were able to make this a sloppy game which what you want as a GB fan. I cant be happier with the effort today.

First off, back the Brinks truck up for Aaron Jones. The dude is a complete and absolute stud. Imagine having this guy (who led the NFL in Yards per attempt last year) and thinking, nah, I'll keep him on the sidelines for 40% of the plays (McCarthy). This guy has all the making to be a lifelong Packer and I will not stand for him being in another uniform. Another (yawn) 3 TD performance and quickly becoming a force in this league.

I have gotten on Mike Pettine pretty hard but what an absolute ballsy game. The guy clearly read my blog and figured out that they can't have 6 DB's on 1st and 10 and was able to contain Run CMC most of the day. McCafe had his moments but it was not a gashing that we saw most of the season and as a result put the game in Kyle Allen's hands. The defense was getting home all day, and if not for a few unreal plays by Allen, this one would have gotten out of hand.

What a way to head into the Bye and thanks to the Falcons a chance to take controls of the NFC against San Fran.
